Advanced Computing Summer Camp

Students will explore the fundamentals of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Data Science. After an introduction to Python coding, students will work on tackling real world issues in teams using research as well as their newly acquired coding skills Each team will present their project and findings in front of the class and Englewood Advanced Computing Summer Camp will publish them in the camp’s web journal.

Mini Research Summer Camp

Students will engage in independent research projects in their area of interest with a mentor. This program has three phases. During the first phase, small groups of students will meet mentors to learn about academic writing ethics and skills. They will also brainstorm their research topics as a group. The second phase is a series of one on one virtual meetings to discuss and explore their chosen area of study. The last phase is writing and editing sessions with mentors. Students will present their research findings in front of their peers and mentors. Englewood mini research summer camp will publish students’ posters and papers in its web journal.
